How to Make a Wellness Blend for Colds and Coughs

In this blog post, I’m going to talk about how to make a Wellness blend for the common cold with your essential oils. It all starts with a sore throat, a runny nose, a sneeze, and a cough. Achoo!  It’s that time of season again when it hits you and your family hard. The best way to beat this common cold to the punch before it spreads to your family and friends is making a blend to nip the cold and coughing in the bud. Other than over-than-counter medication to treat it in the daytime and night time, it could only lasts for a short amount of time. If you want something stronger and more potent, make your own Wellness blend by diffusing it in boiling water and inhaling the steam. Or diluting it to make a chest and throat rub for overnight relief.

Besides getting a flu shot, purchase RMO’s Deep Breath blend  to help you stay on top of things and also being on guard for your family. This blend is made from a combination of Ravintsara, Rosemary, Pine, and Lime and diluted in Fractioned Coconut  Carrier oil.  Diffuse it early to protect yourself from unwanted illness, or when you’re congested or stuffed, sooth a or to ease a stubborn cough. Dilute it on your chest and throat. With daily use, these oils would give you relief and overnight ease of mind.

In your starter kit, your best line for defense is with these  essential oils to make a diluted blend to defend yourself against the common cold and coughing. Peppermint soothes or numbs a scratchy throat with a cool sensation. Tea tree oil hinders bacteria that causes sinus  infections and respiratory issues and fights the infection. Rosemary breaks up mucus and reduced inflammation.

Here's my own personal Wellness Blend recipe I've made for cold and coughs. I've called it Cold and Cough Buster:  Two drops of Peppermint oil, two drops of Tea Tree, and one drop of Rosemary, plus two tablespoons of Jojoba Carrier Oil. Whenever a cold is coming on, I'll grab my roller bottle and dab it on. Instant relief to minimize my coughs and runny nose.  Give it a try and make your own blend today! Purchase a set of roller bottles to create your Wellness blends to protect yourself against the cold and cough season for you and your family.
