Using Essential Oils for DIY Household Products

 In this blog post, we’ll be talking about how to make DIY natural and fresh cleaners freshl without toxic chemicals with essential oils. Whether you’re cleaning mirrors, tables, or countertops for example in any room, it’s cheap to make it at your own home with a few ingredients you might have handy in your pantry or elsewhere to refill at any time. A cleaner polished surface might drive any flies or ants away with a sparkling gleam.

If you’re living frugally and on a tight budget like I am, or wanted to try something new, I decided to make my own all-purpose cleaner from a recipe I’ve found online. What you need is 30 drops from any citrus, herbal, minty, or spicy oil like lemon, Eucalyptus or Cinnamon in a combo of your own, or a Cleansing or Protective Blend, a 16 oz. glass spray bottle you can buy from RMO or from a empty plastic spray bottle like Windex, add 1/4 cup of white vinegar, 1 3/4 cups of water, and shake it up. When I made it last month, I loved the citrus-y smell of orange and lemon with Peppermint. The combo blends are endless and left desired to your imagination. It worked so well and smelled well with a shine.
Most of the essential oils in your starter kit would be a great way to start living naturally and clean. Go crazy and start loving how aromatherapy can help you and your household have an amazing aroma. Give it a try!

  Diffusing Your Favorite Scent   In this blog post, we’re going to talk about how to use your ultrasonic diffuser at home and some essential  oil safety around the home. After you get your starter kit and did the sniff test, it’s the perfect time to diffuse them. This is a good way to rate them on your essential oil organizer and journal on a one to three drop rating scale. One drop equals not your favorite, two drops are okay and you like it, and three drops since you love it and it’s your favorite. It’s okay that you don’t have a favorite scent. You can use a substitute oil in its place even if you run out of your favorite oil. For example, lemon isn’t my favorite fruit, but I do like lemonade. I would prefer to use lemon for household cleaning and repelling bugs than diffusing it in my home alone. But in a blend, I think it would be okay since I rated lemon two out of three drops.
