Finding Relief for Back Pain and Sore Muscles

In this blog post, I’m going to talk about making a Relief Blend for lower back pain and sore muscle relief. Did you strain a back muscle lifting heavy objects? Sprained an ankle?  Forget to stretch before your workout? Slept on an arm or leg funny and wrong? Yep. It happened to the best of us when we at least expect it. Other than a sprained ankle, the rest had happened to me especially the last one. I slept on my left shoulder wrong, the same one that I broke my clavicle and collarbone over twenty years ago in a bicycle accident,  on Tuesday morning. It was painful and sore. If it was my other arm, I would’ve been okay. Other than icing it and aspirin, I turned to my essential oils to ease the pain for relief since I’m still feeling a bit of the pain, two days later. I normally experience the pain during flare-ups especially when there’s a change of weather like in the summer and fall seasons. How to Make a Wellness Blend for Colds and Coughs

In this blog post, I’m going to talk about how to make a Wellness blend for the common cold with your essential oils. It all starts with a sore throat, a runny nose, a sneeze, and a cough. Achoo!  It’s that time of season again when it hits you and your family hard. The best way to beat this common cold to the punch before it spreads to your family and friends is making a blend to nip the cold and coughing in the bud. Other than over-than-counter medication to treat it in the daytime and night time, it could only lasts for a short amount of time. If you want something stronger and more potent, make your own Wellness blend by diffusing it in boiling water and inhaling the steam. Or diluting it to make a chest and throat rub for overnight relief.  This post contains affiliate links, which means if you make a purchase through these links, I may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. Making a Wellness Blend for Flu Protection

In this blog post, I’m going to talk about how to make a Wellness blend with your essential oils. The fall season is a couple weeks away. We need to protect ourselves and our families from the upcoming cold, cough, and flu season ahead of schedule. At Rocky Mountain Oils, they have plenty of single oils to choose from to make a seasonal support or an immunity support blend to protect your immune system from an unexpected runny nose, cough, or a sneeze. Seasonal allergies are no fun either.  Having headaches can ruin everyone’s day and wipe us out.  Let’s focus on the bigger threat firs, which is the dreaded flu bug. Many people get sick from the flu, whether or not they get the shot.  A few years ago, after I've gotten the flu shot, both my mother and I had gotten the flu and been sick for a week. So it's best to take your chances with extra protection. Besides getting a flu shot, purchase RMO’s Flu Time blend  to help you stay on top of things and also being ...

Using Aromatherapy for Yoga and Meditation

In this blog post, I’m going to talk about how to use aromatherapy for yoga and meditation. Most of us haven’t been to the gym in over a year, due to the coronavirus, and now the delta variant have taken over. We had to shift our focus to home practice at our own convenience.  As a beginner yogi for a couple of years, it's the only class that's been off schedule except for the intermediate and advanced classes. When you need time to unwind and slow down from the hectic daily schedule of balancing work, family, and your own mental health, your essential oils can help you with it to deal with stress, unwind, and to welcome peace with meditation.   This post contains affiliate links, which means if you make a purchase through these links, I may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. In your starter kit, you have four essential oils for making a blend for meditation and yoga classes, whether it’s found online, or you made it yourself: lavender, peppermint,...

Get Rolling with Essential Oils

Get Rolling with Essential oils In this blog post, I’m going to talk about how to dilute your oils or blends in a roller bottle and finding inspiration to make your own blends. Another effective way to use aromatherapy is by topical application to the skin via a roller-bottle on various body parts. For example, if you need it to dull headache pain, it would be at the forehead, temples, and the back of your neck. Before you make a blend for a roller bottle, you need to do a test patch to see if there’s any reaction to it. It’s real simple to do. Just grab a single oil and add a drop to it in a bottle, add a couple drops of a carrier oil, and then roll it on your inner elbow. Cover it with gauze or a cotton ball with a band-aid for 24 hours. If you don’t see any reaction, you’re good to go to start rolling with blends.  This post contains affiliate links, which means if you make a purchase through these links, I may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you.
